One Church Weekend Away

You're invited to the Great One Church Weekend Away 2018!

Come and join us as the church family hang out in the beautiful West Sussex countryside. It’s an ideal space to connect more deeply with God, friends, family and yourself. If you haven’t been before we particularly encourage you to come, even for the day to be part of one of one of the most significant events of the One Church family calendar

So what’s it all about?

One Church is all about our Values and the Weekend Away is right at the heart. Intimacy, Inclusion, Involvement, Integrity & Interdependence are the focus AND the result of spending the weekend together. It’s about spending time with friends, making new friends and being together as a One Church family. There’ll be times when we focus on God and times when we hang out together, times when we play and times when we relax.

Where and When is it?

Dalesdown is situated about 6 miles south of Horsham, and about 8 miles north of Worthing. The Weekend Away will happen on Friday 8th - Sunday 10th June. You can arrive at the centre from about 5pm on the Friday and depart after lunch on the Sunday by 2.30pm.

Not sure if you want to come for the whole weekend?

That’s ok- you can come for a day: Friday evening, all day Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon. A day visitor is just as welcome as those staying the weekend, we would really appreciate you being there as part of the One Church family.

We will do everything we can to team you up with other day-trippers in terms of transport and easy journeys so please do speak to us about these possibilities.

What’s the accommodation like?

There are 14 bedrooms, sleeping between four and seven people.  There is the option to add a mattress to each room which might be suitable for a family of five. We won’t be able to offer all a private room, but we will try our best to accommodate your requirements (we just can’t guarantee it).

The adventurous amongst you might like to turn your hand to camping, be at one with nature with your own private patch of land.

If you don’t have a tent but would like to camp, please let us know and we’ll see if we can source one for you.

How much is it?

There's a great deal that goes into making a weekend away happen including the amazing food, speaker, & venue hire just to name a few and we've done our very best to keep the costs as affordable as possible while still covering the costs of the weekend prices for 2017 are not released yet, but when they are, you will be able to find them here.

The church will do all it can to help out anybody who may struggle with these costs. Please do not hesitate speak with Dave Steell or or a member of the leadership team in confidence if cost is an issue for you.

How can I pay?

If you would like to pay for the weekend by instalments, then please speak with Claire. Final payment needs to be paid in full by Sunday 3rd June.

What about food?

All meals are included in the price and it's quite delicious. We put great value on eating together (and making food together!) as a time for fellowship and conversation. We're excited to again this year try and express our values by sourcing ethically & locally where we can. If you have any dietary requirements then simply let us know when you sign up.

We hope to see you there!
